It's Monday, which means that the guest speaker lady comes into my health class to talk to us about making "healthy" decisions in life. After lecturing about family and how a number of things, including ignorance, tears them apart; I feel rather crummy and wish she would have told me these things a few years ago when they could have actually helped.
Finally she says "Do you know what the key to overcome the grief of death is?"
Though I'm confused as to how this relates to the previous topic, I listen in. A slight tinge of hope boils up inside of me and I think "There's a key? There's something you can do? Why haven't I heard this until now? Where the heck have you been lady?!"
...But her next words are simple and though true, they were disappointing.
"There is no cure or key. Time...That's the only thing that helps. Time heals anything"
Yeah okay, thanks.
THE END.
